Privacy policy

Who we are

This website (tchnursery.com) is operated by The Cornerhouse Harborne Ltd, trading as The Cornerhouse Nursery, of 94 Lordswood Road, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9BY ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What data we collect

We collect very little personal data directly through this website itself. The main way personal data is collected is when you choose to make an enquiry:

• Enquiry form submissions: when you click "Make an enquiry," you're taken to a secure form hosted by Famly, our nursery management software provider. Any details you submit there (such as your name, contact details, and information about your child) are collected and processed by Famly on our behalf, and by us once we receive your enquiry.
• Browsing information: like most websites, basic technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) may be collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.

Third-party services on this site

This website links to or embeds a small number of third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Famly: our enquiry form and, for enrolled families, our nursery management platform. See Famly's own privacy policy for how they handle your data.
• daynurseries.co.uk: we display a review widget from daynurseries.co.uk and link to our reviews profile. This may set cookies governed by their own privacy policy.
• Instagram: our Instagram icon links out to our Instagram profile, governed by Meta's privacy policy.
• Google Maps: our "Find us on Google" link takes you to Google Maps, governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Spotify: our Music page embeds our Spotify playlists, which may set cookies governed by Spotify's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: we count visits to this website using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors and does not collect personal information. It simply tells us how many people visit and which pages they view.

Review invitations

We invite the parents and carers of children at The Cornerhouse to leave an independent review on daynurseries.co.uk. To do this, we share your first name, surname and email address with daynurseries.co.uk, who use them only to send and track the invitation and do not pass them on to anyone else. Leaving a review is entirely optional, and if you would rather not receive an invitation, just let us know.

How we use your data

We use enquiry data solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange a show-around if appropriate, and manage the registration process if you decide to join us. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and follow up regarding availability, and is deleted or anonymised after a reasonable period if no place is taken up. Data for enrolled families is retained in line with our nursery's own record-keeping and safeguarding obligations, which sit outside the scope of this website policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you have concerns about how your data is handled.

Cookies

This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Some embedded third-party content (such as the daynurseries.co.uk review widget or a Spotify player) may set cookies as described in their own respective privacy policies.
